Yoga is for everybody no matter your age, ability or condition.
As a result of injury or pain, there have been times when all I could do was lay on the floor. I rebuilt my body through breath, exploratory movement and props. I also practiced yoga throughout my entire pregnancy and am using it to re-establish my strength and nervous system post birth. My practice heals me, centers me and sets the foundation for how I am in all aspects of my life. I am confident this can be the case for anyone.
If you are overcoming an injury. If you have chronic pain, physical disabilities or sleeplessness. If you are in an emotional state where movement may seem impossible. Or if you simply want to explore the limits of your body and build strength and flexibility. Yoga is for you.
One of the main focuses of my practice and teaching is the use of props. They can modify poses and increase strength. They can help you gain access to certain positions and improve alignment. They can help build awareness and aid you in relaxation. Incorporating props can open up new possibilities to every practitioner whether you are a beginner or have years of experience in movement.
If you are two or ninety-two, everybody can do yoga and enjoy the benefits it brings. Come and explore it with me!
